Lufthansa NOT ever again! Worst experience ever!

Reasons why I will NOT want to travel on Lufthansa ever again:

1. No personal inflight entertainment system even for long flights (eg: S'pore to Frankfurt) - The entire cabin has to share 4 little TVs. Pathetic right?
   
2. Miserable leg room space - If someone with average height of 1.63m thinks that the leg room is small, what about those who are relatively tall?


3. Damaged luggage - Yes, the airline damaged my luggage and I have proof! (see below) And they insisted that I sent the luggage to their Paris agent for repair. Hello! I am a tourist. How do you expect me to be so familiar with Paris and know where your agent is located?

4. Refused to refund my unused portion of travel, not even the taxes! - I am feeling damn sore that the airline is taking advantage of the situation (that my grandpa is critically ill and I gotta fly back immediately from Paris and thus, unable to utilise the Paris - Berlin and Berlin - Spore flights) and refuses to assist me to get back the refund which I am entitled to! And FYI, I didn't buy a promotional ticket!
   

This is the first time I am so disappointed with an airline and I strongly conclude that Lufthansa is the worst airline I have ever taken. I am definitely going to announce it to all my friends! If you want a BAD experience, go take Lufthansa!

Don't know why I am toying with the idea of becoming a cabin crew again...Perhaps I feel really deprived of travelling. But of coz, I will not want to return to SQ (not that they will want me back) or join those other airlines that serve only regional flight. In fact, I already have an airline which I wanna join in mind and this airline is having a recruitment exercise on 27th Feb. The problem is whether I am willing to give up my current career and spend a few years to pursue my hobby?

Disruptive Tiger Year?

The Tiger year doesn't seem to be a good year for me. Was supposed to enjoy my Europe trip with mum and sis during cny but gotta rush back after spending 2 days and 1 nite in Paris as grandpa is critically ill.

When we left for Europe on Friday, grandpa seemed to have recovered from his previous procedure of stem insertion in his body. Not sure why is there water in grandpa's lungs that causes him to have breathing difficulty. He is now in High Dependency Ward and gotta undergo another operative preocedure tomorrow...sighz...lets hope for the best.

Zirca/Rebel Nite

After 2 weeks for intensive Kaizen, I went for a cheap but sumptuous meal at Just Acia with Wawa, Sandy and Vin, followed by partying at Zirca/Rebel. The music at Zirca/Rebel was good...pity that we were kinda tired after work so didn't stay for very long.

I have been going to the hospital so frequently for the past 2 months. First, it was my neighbour, Adrian...and now is my grandpa. Sighz...I really dislike the place and I don't want my family and friends to stay there. Am feeling really upset when dad told us that grandpa has a tumour in his stomach just now. Please let the tumour be benign so that major surgery is not required.

Luanne & Jindao's Big Day

Congrats to Luanne & Jindao! They finally tied the knot after 11 years of courtship...wow...they have been together for sooo long!

Time really flies, I have left SQ for almost 2 years already. Having to meet many of my ex-colleagues at Luanne & Jindao's wedding lunch last sunday, I felt nostalgic...it seemed like yesterday that I joined SQ as an AO. I really missed the good times I had in SQ. In fact till today, I am unable to explain what prompted me to leave the organisation...hmm...

When we passed by BenTen @ Iluma after our steamboat buffet last week, we saw this super huge ice-cream being displayed outside the restaurant...and thus, we decided to dine at BenTen on Friday! Honestly, the food wasn't fantastic...though they looked good.

Why is Prudential taking so long?

What is Prudential's SLA for responding to customers' enquires or complaints? Or should I ask whether the company has any SLA?

Despite waiting for 3 days, I failed to get a reply from my agent on the name issue which I wrote about in my previous post. Is it really that difficult to check the database and correct the mistake? Does the company need a few month just to change my name? Well, in the first place, I don't understand why they can get my name wrongly keyed in the database. This is such a careless mistake. And the fact that they failed to correct it promptly made the matter worst.

As compared to my AIA agent, this Prudential agent is such a failure...Well, I don't doubt that she can be really good in coaxing her customers to purchase insurance products from her and earning loads of money from closing the deals. But she is really a disappointment in servicing her clients.

Disappointed with Prudential...Again

Why is my name still not reflected correctly on my insurance policy statement? Didn't I informed my agent of this mistake a few month ago? Didn't I fax my IC her? How come it is still wrong?

I am really very fed up with Prudential...but yet I can't surrender my policy without suffering a loss. So I have to continue to feed them money despite being unhappy with their service. wtf!

This saga started officially in May 2009 when I received a mass sms from my Prudential agent. In her sms, she stated that she has decided to leave the company and her sister will be taking over her client servicing role as my prudential agent. Since she did not include her sister's contact no. in the sms, I reckoned that I needed not to contact this new agent as she will be taking the initiative to call me soon.

A few weeks later, I received a letter from Prudential that informed me that my agent has changed and this new agent is supposed to call me within a month.

However, I waited for about 2 months and there is no call or sms from this new agent. Having purchased an investment-linked policy, I wanted to get some updates from this new agent (my last update from my Prudential agent was about 2 years go). Thus, I sms my ex-agent to request for her sister's no. I am disappointed that she failed to reply as it proved a total change of attitude as compared to the time when she tried to get me to purchase the policy.

I finally get to speak to the new agent after going through rounds of calls with the contact centre staff and an unsuccessful attempt to log my request on the website (I deemed it as unsuccessful as the staff who was maning the website only called me 2 weeks later...I really wonder whether this is their SLA). The excuse that the new agent gave me was really quite lame. She said that she was busy moving house and thus, she had no time to contact me...wow, I didn't expect to hear such an excuse. How long does it take to make a phone call?

This incident was a really unpleasant one. Yet, I chose to give her a chance to be my agent. And now, I am disappointed again.

When I received my policy statement a few months ago, I noted that my name was incorrect and thus, I asked her to make the amendments. Yet till today, the mistake still persist. Did she take the effort to make the changes for me? Is there something wrong with the operations of company?

2nd time on SG Flyer

This is my 2nd time taking the flight and the place is relatively quiet as compared to my first visit in 2008. In fact, no one is queueing to purchase the flyer tickets. Well, this is not surprising. Taking the flyer is nothing exciting. I would not have gone there if not for my corporate ticket. And of cos, I wanna to accompany auntie since she has not taken the flight before.

Tickets booked!

I finally managed to book my tickets to Europe! Will be stopping over at Paris for 4 days before we head to Berlin and Hamburg. This is my first time travelling during cny and I am so excited. It's gonna be super cold in Europe and I got to start sorting out my winter wear again.

Staying in hotels in Paris is sooo expensive. I was checking out the rates with my sis yesterday night but couldn't find a reasonable priced and comfortable hotel at a good location. I think we will probably spend 1 or 2 nights at the Disney Resort hotel as it is relatively cheaper...

Europe during CNY?

I am planning to visit Berlin, Austria and Slovakia during the cny week. Managed to find ticket to Berlin that doesn't have long transit time...now eagerly waiting for my sister in Berlin to let me know whether to proceed with my booking. I really hope that I can make it to Europe this time. I am in need of a holiday!!!

Life with simple pleasures

My long weekend was plain but happy. Spending time with my loved ones, lazing at home, eating good food, watching shows...though there wasn't any fanciful party, I am really glad that I am still given to time and opportunity to do all these. Life is so unpredictable and I think I begin to learn to appreciate people and things around me.

Ok, I shall not start my new year being so emotional...Come on, high note please! Greedy me gonna blog about some of the good food I had during the long weekend.

Had an argurment with the waitress as she told us that we were not allowed to dine at any of the restaurant in the hotel in shorts/berms and slippers...Damned! Didn't I just dine at Chatterbox in shorts a few weeks ago? But of coz, we were allowed to dine at restaurant after she checked with her Manager...
