The Long Weekend

Didn't go for trip during this long weekend.
Stayed in SG to shop, shop & shop coz GSS is here!
So what have I bought over the weekend?
  1. 1 pair of slippers from Mphosis
  2. 1 pair of shoes from Substance (super good buy which was discovered by Iris)
  3. 1 hair band from Mphosis
  4. 1 scarf from Mphosis
  5. 1 hat from Mphosis
  6. 2 t-shirts from bugis village

And as I was telling myself to curb my spending, I spent another $70 at BodyShop this afternoon... Why am I such a spendthrift? Maybe that is why I can never allow myself to be jobless...coz I simply love shopping and traveling!!!

FK and I met Duncan & Iris for dinner and drinks on Saturday. We had an early birthday celebration for Duncan.

Green Tea Cake...Yummlicious

FK and his pal

The loving couple
Apparently, Duncan was nagging at Iris when she requested him to accompany her to Marks & Spencer so that FK and I can have the opportunity to create the surprise. Oopps...sorry Iris for having to bear with the nagging. =P

Our Group Pic
The staff at Coffee Club were so accomodating to allow us to have our cake. =)

Friend in FB?

An ex-schoolmate (not classmate) whom I took a long time to recall, added me on FB.
Yes, I do remember seeing him in school but I don't remember talking to him.
Is that considered a friend?
Is it rude if I click the ignore button?

My Head

We did a silly thing during lunch time - measuring of head circumference.

Is this consider big?

Is Friday Again!

Yes, is Friday again!
I am so glad that weekend is here.
It hasn't been a good week for me -spent lots time on non-valued activities +
right ear blocked, and my flu is coming back.
I am looking forward to a better day tomorrow.
As Ee Wa is craving for Korean pancake, we went to Crystal Jade Korean Ginseng Chicken & BBQ for dinner today. It has been a long time since I last had Korean food.

Menu was taken away after we ordered, so I took picture which the wet paper towel instead. (Yes, I know I am quite bo liao...haha) My head looks so big in this pic.

The side dishes - FOC!

We ordered both beef and chicken for BBQ. I think we over-estimated our eating abilities and ordered too much.

Ee Wa's craving: Korean Pancake

Yellow tail fish which ended like this:

Not done by me coz I dislike fish with bones

Not sure why we started making funny faces after the meal.

Rude & Dishonest bitch

To be honest, I didn't enjoy my dive trip to Tioman. Besides the fact that I couldn't equalise and hence, unable to enjoy the underwater world, there was a rude and dishonest dive participant in my group that totally pissed me off.

I am not a saint but I will never behave like her.

Here the story goes:
In preparation for our fourth dive for the trip, we were fixing our gears while the boat was bringing us to our destination. After I was done with fixing the BCD (i.e. the dive jacket), I realised that my gauge was missing. While I was frantically looking around for my gauge, I noticed the one of the participants was holding to a gauge which was very similar to mine. As I was the only person in the group who was using a PSI gauge, I was quite positive that she has taken my gauge.
As I didn't wanna sound like I was accusing her for taking my thing, I politely asked her whether she took my gauge by mistake. I also highlighted to her that I was the only person from the group who was using a PSI gauge.
Rudely, she snapped at me by saying that it is very common for divers to use PSI gauge and if I insisted on taking the gauge which she was holding, she wouldn't mind giving it to me.
Wtf! As if I don't know that it is common for divers to use PSI gauge! However, I was the only one in the group that was using it and thus, wasn't it obvious that the gauge was mine? Hello! it was already our fourth dive, don't tell me that you couldn't recognise your own gauge?
To avoid arguement, I informed the dive master that my gauge was missing and requested for her help to look for it. And truly, the gauge which the idiot person was holding was mine. She reluctantly returned it to me after the dive master told her that she had taken the wrong gauge without even apologising to me. Damn rude!
I really wonder why there are people who can be dishonest to the extent of taking things of their fellow participants...and not being remorseful and apologistic. I felt really sorry for her friends as she may have "unintentionally" taken their things.

Dive Trip to Pulau Tioman

140510 - 160510
Pulau Tioman
Paya Resort
Went for my dive trip at Pulau Tioman.
Didn't really enjoy it as I injured my ear as I was unable to equalise.
Was kinda upset that I can only enjoy the underwater at max of 7 meters...sighz..not sure what was the reason why I couldn't equalise.
Nevertheless, Tioman is quite a nice place for getaway.
There were many tourists (non-divers) in Tioman over the weekend when I was there.
However, the ferry ride can be quite a torture...
either late or over-crowded.

Managed to take pictures of the beautiful sunset when I was back from my dive.

No underwater photo as I don't have a waterproof camera. =(

Back Safely...but with an injured ear

My right ear has been in pain since my 2nd dive. Went to see the doc today and she told me that it is injured as a result of my dive. She stressed that I should have listen to my body and not to continue to dive when I was in pain.

No swimming for the next two weeks...which is not a difficult thing...the troublesome part is that I gotta put cotton wool in my ears when I bath as water is not supposed to get in.

Hope it gets better when I go back to the clinic for review this Saturday.

Friday Nitez Out @ Timbre

070510
Timbre @ Substation

I love to chill out on Friday nite. It helps me to destress after a long week of work.
This was my first visit to Timbre (Yes, I know I am quite sua ku...)
Was kinda surprise that it is such a popular place. Crowded, warm, no air-con, but yet so many people are queuing to dine there...till today, I am quite puzzled.
Anyway, gonna thanks for RT for reserving the seats for us. Or else, will have to join the super long queue!
Glad that despite the short notice given by Jun, most of us are available to meet up. =)
Camwhoring while waiting for the food to be served

Our food & drinks: Margarita, Pizza & Buffalo Wings. Yummy!

Something happened at work so Jun was late. Gotta eat our leftovers...Hahaha.
As the heat in Timbre was killing us, we left before the live band started their performance. Went to pick up Ling at Bedok before we headed to Old Town at East Coast to have our coffee
*PS: This Friday aka today, I will be traveling to Tioman for my dive trip. I am sooo excited, though at the same time, I am kinda scared...pray that I will be back safely!

Chicago, The Musical

When I posted on FB that I bought my Chicago ticket, most of my friends thought that I meant Chicago, the 3rd most populous state in the United States. Well, I really hope that I can visit the state some day...without having to wait too long for that to happen. For now, I can only afford to watch the musical since I have limited financial resources and time.

Super good deal tickets - Paid only $73 each and Ee Wa and I were seated 3rd row from the stage.

Sick

I took my first MC of the year today.
Am feeling super drowsy, probably due to an overdose of medication last nite - Was supposed to take 1 but I took 2 instead...hoping that I can recover asap.
Yes, now I have convinced myself that this method doesn't work.
I need to ensure that I recover by this Friday as I have a dive trip over the weekend.
Gonna start popping more vitamins to boost my immunity.

Afternoon Tea @ Cookie Museum

010510
The Cookie Museum
Met up with Amy & Grace on the afternoon of Labour Day.
The Cookie Museum is a very popular place for afternoon tea, probably because of the beautiful furnishing and delicious cookies that melt in the mouth.

The menu looks so classic & lovely

My cranberry tea

So great to catch up with the ladies. =)

Nitez out @ Orchard Central

300410
Orchard Central
We were roaming around Level 7 & 8 of Orchard Central before we decided to have dinner at this restaurant which serves a variety of Tonkatsu.
For those who don't know what is Tonkatsu, here is the explanation:

The cheese Tonkatsu which we have ordered.
I feel that it is quite pricey. We paid $21.90 for such a small piece

Actually I prefer the calamari...

The rest of what we have ordered.

Gonna thank Ee Wa for organising this.
So much happenings, so many things to discuss and gossip.
This sharing session made me realise that someone may not be as simple after all. Or maybe she is just too naive to realise that whatever she has done may cause harm to others?
This will forever stay as a question mark...

Ee Wa & Kelly

The last time I met up with Kelly was about 3 months ago...glad that we still keep in contact despite not working together.

Leyi & I

We were both in pink!

Batam Trip...Again!

240410
Yes, I went to Batam again!
And again, it is a day after my KL trip. Oh, I didn't plan it on purpose...
We stay at I Hotel, which is located 5 mins away from Nagoya Hill.
According to the tour guide, there is no 5 star hotel in Batam. Being a 4 star hotel, I Hotel is considered one of the most luxurious accomodation in Batam. Well, though the rooms are not as well-furnished as KL Hilton, they look pretty class and clean. A highly recommendation choice!

View from my room: The Pool & Jacuzzi

Our first meal in Batam: A&W

Hungry FK had 2 more chicken wings after having his fish burger meal.

Me & my root beer float.

The last time I has it was...more than 15 years?

Unlike my previous trip in March, we spent most of the time in Nagoya Hill as FK & I planned to have our hair coloured in Johnny Andrean. Based on what I have read online, Johnny Andrean is one of the most popular hair salon in Batam. They offer a wide variety of services which ranges from hair cut to foot reflexology. Their charges are very reasonable. In fact, I don't think I can ever have my long hair coloured in SG for less than $50!
My new hair colour!
This picture was taken shortly after I stepped out of the salon.
We had our dinner at Grand Duck after we were done with our body massage and hair colouring.

Our dinner -FK loves the duck...but I prefer the fried rice
